Phil HoloubekPhil Holoubek, President

Mr. Holoubek is the founder and President of LRC Real Estate. Since earning his MBA from the University of Oregon in 1995, he has kept the words of his mentor close to his heart: “You can do good and do well; the two are not mutually exclusive.” Since 2000, Phil has been passionately pursuing transformation in downtown Lexington. His development philosophy is rooted in urbanism – reforming the design of the built urban environment and raising the standard of living by creating better places to live. He has implemented this philosophy in each of his downtown projects. These developments have been highly successful and well received by young professionals, retirees, and other advocates of Lexington’s vibrant Downtown community.

LRC was formed with the goal of providing affordable quality rental options in Lexington’s disadvantaged neighborhoods. After achieving this goal by renovating existing dilapidated properties and renting them at market rates to hundreds of residents, Phil and LRC moved to developing new properties. Previous development projects have resulted in over $50 million in downtown real estate. LRC is considered “The Downtown Experts”, a reputation earned from years of dedication to bringing responsible improvement to downtown Lexington. Phil is actively involved in many civic organizations and ventures that share his goals for Lexington. He was among the founders of the Lexington Young Professionals Association, which now boasts nearly 1000 members. Phil has served on the boards of the Lexington Center, the Downtown Lexington Corporation, the Urban League and several other local organizations. Additionally, he has served on community task forces designed to improve LFUCG budgeting practices, LexTran operations, and has served on the Steering Committee for the Downtown Development Authority’s Downtown Lexington Master plan.
